Verizon approved this week to make a bid on Sprint

VERIZON GETS OK TO BID ON BUYING SPRINT

According to The Wall Street Journal, Verizon has received approval to make a bid for Sprint. The approval came from Verizon partner Vodafone Group. Sprint itself has also been bidding to purchase Nextel Communications, a deal that would be sidelined by a Verizon purchase. Verizon and Vodafone will agree on terms before making a formal attempt to buy Sprint.

Where do you get your news? I think this story is weeks old and proved to not be true.

You also say Sprint is bidding to buy Nextel. That deal was done three weeks ago. The two companies came to an agreement.

Maybe the date on his phone is off. Either that, or his CMOS battery on his motherboard died and the clock is off.

Give him a break. He may not know it's 2005.

He's from Ohio, cut him some slack. We're behind in everything nowadays.

Damn, sorry that I'm so far behind... Yeah us Ohioans get news slowly. Hell I'm still on a 2400 buad modem. What is the broadband you speak of?
