Not Gonna Do It!
Just decided that I am gonna save my upgrade, and NOT get the 4G LTE. My EVO is still great, and I love it. It does everything that want/need it to. In fact, I even ordered another case last night.
HTC screwed up and made a near ''perfect'' phone for me |

i am still on htc pro 2 (running windows mobile). my htc pro 2 does everything i need just fine. i am not a big apps guy. I just need a quick browser(opera mini) and google maps and I good to go. The only thing i feel like i am loosing out on is a camera. I know the iPhone 4s is suppose to have to best camera phone out there but I am not that impressed with iOs in general. I have an iPod touch and its not that impressive. I am holding out for an android 4.0 or windows phone 8 device with an excellent camera, 4g lte, and a screen at this at least 4.7in. galaxy iii, maybe?

I am no longer w/sprint but I'm using my phone over wifi. I agree, HeavyD. This is still a great phone and I would not be in any hurry to upgrade. The EVO 4G LTE is a sweet phone, though.

I havent made up my mind yet. I really love my phone too. I tried to do the 3d one, but i hated it. I went back to my evo. I really hate how you cant pull the battery. I love having an extended battery. Im going to wait though and see if they can root it or not and how the battery stands up.

I still hold my EVO as the standard to beat, but I am wishing it had more RAM for apps that don't move to SD. And I suspect it's getting a little slow, I think the apps that we use regularly are starting to require more processor. That may just be a mistaken impression, but as apps (like Gmail, Facebook, Google+, others) get improved for newer phones, they're probably upgrading features to take advantage of newer processors and more RAM. Same thing happens in the PC world.

I have all of the applications and I need, and I am not getting an out of space warning. The rom that I am running, does not even allow to move the applications to the card

Not to worry, Sprint will most likely terminate WiMax before LTE is ever fully rolled out, whatever they mean by fully rolled out.

The LTE could have been really good if not for the embedded battery. That is an absolutely HORRIBLE idea, especially for a phone so prone to have the battery go down in rapid order.

A battery you can't remove yourself? Interesting. My complaint about iPhone has been they should either make it waterproof OR make the battery removable, not NEITHER of those things. Well in any case, most early adopters and fanbois are happy to replace their phone annually. Unless there's a huge design flaw, the battery is likely serviceable for 18 months. If you wait for 2 year refresh you will be miserable that last half year unless you replace the battery yourself.

I've got the Samsung itch for the GII, even though the EVO has been really good to me.
No point in waiting around for the GIII when I wouldn't be able to use LTE anywhere near me. |
