WinMo Co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak chooses the Lumia 900 over Android, calls Windows

Wish Sprint would get some of the new Nokia devices but last I read they might be getting some of the new Windows 8 devices due out this fall. Either way the new Nokia devices look great.

Co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak chooses the Lumia 900 over Android, calls Windows Phone "intuitive and beautiful"

I like Windows Phone and the Lumia 900 a lot. Hardware and software are both very elegant in design and function.

Hopefully Sprint gets the Lumia 900 but I have my doubts due to Nokia's spotty CDMA track record and Sprint flat out saying they have no interest in Windows Phone at this time.

If I wasn't getting the iPhone 5 in the fall, the Lumia 900 would be number 2 on my list.

WP7 is on my ****list for being way more locked down than the iPhone.

I have an HTC Titan, unlocked and on a different carrier, but AT&T locked up the settings in such a way that I can't use the tethering feature at all. It just tells me to contact AT&T, who will probably just tell me to pound sand.

I never liked the blocky look of the windows phone.
No customization!
It's a big turn off!
Not to mention the lack of apps!

I don't know about beautiful, but it is pretty intuitive. If I could get over the ugly UI, I'd probably consider the jump to WP, but I really don't like that UI, and it can't be customized, so I'll stay on Android for the time being.

The key problem with any Windows phone is that Microsoft has the attention span of a retarded housefly. In 3 months or 3 weeks or 3 minutes they could decide they're done with Win8 or your version of it or they're never building an upgrade path for you or 20 other things. And when they build things that 'AS GOOD AS' something else, in their words, it means it's a crappy also-ran.

Considering Windows 8 desktop, tablet and phone will feature a unified architecture, Microsoft will be committed for quite a while.

I've liked Windows Phone for awhile. The word is getting out on how good it really is to actually use. It needs more apps, and is missing some features, but as far user experience goes and fluidity, android is quite chunky in comparison.

With Mango I hope we get the jump to an HD display, which I think is the biggest weakness.

Which is a bit like saying that one day in the murky past David Packard one day bought a SONY laptop because he just liked it more. Uh ok.

Examples, please? I'll admit I don't follow Microsoft as closely as some, but I can't think of any project that they've put as much money, time, and effort into as they've done with Windows Phone, only to drop it with no warning later on. Even with their completely dead Windows Mobile platform, they gave plenty of notice that it was dying. They kept the Windows Mobile marketplace open for well over a year after Windows Mobile was 6 feet under.

If anything, the company you're describing is Google. Google has repeatedly shown that they are absolutely willing to risk money and effort on products that may not work, and if they end up not working, they'll just ditch them altogether or just leave them in whatever half-broken state they were in at the last update, offering maybe a slight notification if any. Don't get me wrong, I love Google, but as far as attention span goes, I see Google's as much shorter than Microsoft's.

It's MS's nature. They spend hundreds of millions hyping something and then when it doesn't crush everything in 4 weeks they stop improving it. Like Win6.1 Win6.5 Zune Bing for 4.

I know the feeling..
I wish someone would come up with an OS to beat Android !
I would be first to try it out!
As I like to see/use new innovative products!
(I think Samsung`s OS Tizen could do it ! )

Although, nothing has the ease of use- customization and usefulness as Android does!

If Apple came out with an open source OS similar to Android I would be the first try that too !

I`m not closed minded as many people would think !

I welcome anyone to try! I still will take a look at this new Nokia phone also !

You blind? WM 6.1 was developed into 6.5. 6.5 was dropped after they realized it was dead, and they went in a whole new direction to 7. They gave plenty of warning before discontinuing support for 6.5. They didn't even shut down the marketplace that no one used until well over a year later.

Zune hardware may have gone by the wayside, but they certainly did it for way longer than 4 weeks. They still use the software for XBox and their phones.

Bing is still being improved to this day, and they're still pouring marketing money into that. If anything, that's the one thing they should just give up on, but they refuse to.

You're right - MS is the most technologically advanced company in the history of people. Of course it is. It's all genius and everything they've ever done is #1.

All Hail Best Korea.
