An Optimus S question or two....
I'd post this in the LG phone forum, but nobody seems to go there.
![]() Anyway, currently, I am using the Sprint ID pack on my phone. It has a weather widget next to the clock on the home screen. The problem is that the weather NEVER updates to current conditions. It is set to my city, but I can't figure out how to make it update. Any ideas? One other question. Is there any way to delete shortcuts off of the screen? I don't necessarily want to delete the app (or whatever they are called), but I also don't want the screen cluttered up with shortcuts I'll never use. I'd rather have shortcuts to things I *WILL* use. |

Weather: Had the same problem, quit using it.
Delete: Simply press and hold your finger on the icon until you see a trashcan at the bottom of the screen, drag the icon to the trashcan and this will remove it from the page without removing it from the phone. Hope this helps. |

I have an optimus S, and I use beautiful widgets and launcher pro instead of the silly sprint ID stuff.
You can find both programs just about anywhere and they are worth it. Also, try Go Launcher, etc...there are tons of options. Good Luck |

By "quit using it", did you mean you deleted the thing from the screen? Or just ignore it? If you deleted it from the screen, can you uninstall that without messing anything else up?
In case you can't tell, I'm a noob when it comes to smart phones. They are definitely smarter than me.

Yes, I turned off that part of the app.
There are alot of other good weather apps out there and I used one for awhile. But they do tend to run down the battery as they are always connected. |
