I said I was not intending to be rude. This is a low end device. It is rediculous to believe that sprint or LG will provide much support. Phones come and go so fast that it wouldn't even be cost effective for them to. I was just saying that you can quite easily fix your issues, which is definitely a solution within this topic. It seems some think that rooting is some complex thing, I was overwhelmed at first. I just want those people to know that it is not. I hated this phone stock. I couldn't download more than 20 apps and had to constintly delete things, it was so frustrating! I rooted, now no worries. I would bet money sprint and LG will not fix your problem. Hopefully I am wrong, but your budget phone isn't worth them supporting. In two years it will be old news and no one will care, so why bother? You need to be realistic and take it for what it is. Therefore, you will have to take matters into your own hands.

Ok...so your post gave me the confidence to try it. I have now successfully rooted my phone.

Now to figure out what I need tho do to solve my memory problem. I guess I need to put a custom rom on it but I don't know which to try.

Congrats! I use the one on android central called nameless rom, just google it. Also, if you install Titanium Backup you can move all apps to your sd, that may make enough room and you might not need a custom rom. Also you can delete apps with it, like I never use google talk, so I deleted it. To move an app in Titanium Backup click on backup/restore tab at top. Then all apps will be listed hold down on one you want to move, a screen will pop up with an option to move it. If you have any questions, I am happy to help! I hope you get everything how you like it and are happy with the end results.

Did you get this fixed? The folks over at Android Central should be able to help.

I just skimmed through the post so I might have missed it if this was already suggested but, if you have multiple email accounts (particularly YAHOO) empty your deleted email folder (Trash). I kept getting low memory notifications until I did that. Hope this helps!
