Phones sold to get the Evo for wife and I

Great news...

I got my Samsung Moment sold for $225 and my wifes Hero sold for $200.

Cash already in hand for the Hero for delivery on June 4th. $100 for the Moment this weekend and then $125 on delivery June 4th.

Looks like both my wife and I got our Evo's basicly for free.

Nice... I assume you're up for renewal pricing?

Anyone know what the non-renewal pricing is? I don't see it on Sprint's Evo teaser page...

I'm happy I was switched to premier so I can get early upgrades, though I have to wait until Oct 1 for my upgrade pricing. Better than Apr. 9, 2011

I was one of the silly fools who jumped at a reduced-price Hero without stopping to think about why it was reduced-price. I was about to get a free Curve when I realized, "Hey, I can get an Android phone for $78! And it's about to be upgraded to 2.1!" So I bought my Hero April 1... guess that makes me the April Fool. :P If I'd only read more and waited two months longer...

Haha, well the Hero isn't that bad, and I paid $100 more than you did >< It's much better/faster when rooted than it is out of the box. I waited too long to find that out, but I'm still happy with it. I don't mind having to keep it until Oct at least. Considering how laggy my previous htc Touch started to become, the Hero is still light years ahead.

Yeah, I plan on selling my Tour to offset the cost.

The Pre is $549.
The Hero, Moment, and Tour were all $480-500 when new.

People were speculating the phone was going to be $600-800 retail, which I would refuse to pay.

Hell, I'm sure the off contract price is going to be astronomical at Best Buy.

By selling my tour to offset the cost, I'm basically upgrading without extending my contract.

So, I'm extremely excited about the price.
