New commercial! $69.99 Unlimited Any Mobile, Text & Web

I just saw a new Sprint commercial with Dan Hesse saying unlimited any mobile, text and web for $69.99!

Very short and to the point, I almost missed it because I wasn't paying attention.

Yeah, that's the Everything Data 450 plan. The only time you tap into those minutes is when you call a landline between 7 and 7 Monday through Friday.

Yes I meant to put New Commercial in the title. Perhaps a Mod can edit.

I think the Dan commercials are more effective than the yellow bubble type commercials.

This one makes you think unlimited. Good move on the script IMO.

You made it sound like the SEP pricing was reduced to $70. That would be truly one heck of a deal.

If you follow Sprint on twitter, a release was made saying Hesse would start to appear in commercials again, emphasizing the value offering by Sprint's plans over the competition.

edit: self, made boo boo

how do we know it hasnt worked? did the new getting out of the bubble commercial work? i dont think either of them had the super impact that was necessary, but maybe hesse's was better than bubble so hesse is coming back. something better than worse.

but like it was discussed here sometime ago on some other thread.. sprint does need super catchy commercials..

i like one of the new Toyota commercials.. it goes something in the lines of where they mention that toyota has stopped production now, and is concentrating on quality and improving the cars they've recalled and the cars thats in the market. and that they've been providing cars to US over 50+ years and they'll do so and keep quality as prime for future blah blah.. it says they accept they was flawed but are still strong and are willing to accept and will be and are getting better.

We need something like that.. for those who have simply assumed that sprint service/network is bad.. to educate them..
that sprint used to have drop calls.. our CS was bad.. but we've improved.. and are improving.. and will be better and have gotten almost same as any other competitor..

I saw this add in text form and upon first read it did look like "unlimited" was reduced to 70 dollars, but infact it was a restatement of "anymobile".

That said anymobile and 7pm nights are a significant plan feature. I have had a few friends move to sprint only after spending a fair amount of time explaining the difference between the 69 dollar plan on verizon and sprint. Explain that if you live in the west and have verizon you can't call the east coast before midnight their time. Most of the country is after 10 pm their time when you can use verizon minutes. Even if you have verizon "in calling" since no carrier has a greater than a 35% market share most of the country does not allow you to use your mobile to mobile calling. So only sprint lets you call anywhere at least 2 hours before midnight and only sprint lets you call or receive calls from anyone's cell phone using free minutes.

yes i remember and I dislike the ads too.. but think of it from a non sprint customer stand point. If a CEO is coming and talking something.. it didnt do anything to us.. but *maybe* for the non-sprint (potential) customers it had some meaning.. and maybe that dark gloomy commercial generated more numbers than the current bubble is doing.. so if thats the case its better to go back to dark and gloomy.. LOL..

All is matters is what generates more numbers.. right?

remember sometime ago.. the most effective commercial was the most annoying "Head ON" commercial.. it was annoying.. so what.. as long as it gets the message out and people become aware of it.. its doing what its supposed to do

Anything is better than the bubble ads. Even if Hesse is brought back for the interim, it's a good move.

At the minimum, Sprint has realized their advertising money was being wasted and not connecting with the consumer. Maybe Sprint has better marketing and advertising direction and accordingly, adjusting the ads.

For a contract carrier it is a pretty good deal especially since you can get easy 10%+ discounts on it. For non-contract you can do better.

I'd like trenchcoat guy too. Sprint still seems way too much of an also-ran .. I remember ATT and VZW bickering, even T-Mobile saying they are cheaper than both but for some reason Sprint ads are just not memorable.
