I've removed quite a few stock apps, then did a hard reset to get the internal memory back. I'm gonna try reflashing my phone to my original backup which is pretty much just a stock build with root, and see what happens.

One upgrade I just noticed: there are in-call settings for mute and speakerphone (aka they are available on the screen). These did not exist on the screen before. You would have to dial down into a menu.

Additionally, my phone's PRI is still 1.68 (not 1.70) and it still says Rev. 0.
Damn... Oh well, hopefully they will release another update to fix that bug or maybe they just plan on fixing it with the upgrade to Android 2.0.

Did you try a battery pull? That helped me get my update with my Pre.

And there lies the problem... you should never settle for mediocre. Yes, the phone does work well.... but yes, it also has areas that need to be fixed. If we allowed for developers / manufacturers to stay stagnant then there would be no progress. That or after releasing a device with numerous bug issues, they would stop updating it and focus on the next big thing because users are content with 'okay'.

But like I said, I agree that the HTC Hero is a well working device. But it's hard not to notice when it has memory issues, lag issues, and clearly an older OS after only being on the market for roughly a month. But just like any other device or manufacturer I know things will get better with time.

Lol yeah I didn't have this issue and no need for a 'stereo' widget. I did notice the new icons on the call screen though.

Just tried it. Still no dice, but thanks for the suggestion.
I guess I'll just have to be patient with it.

if you have rooted and removed any stock apps or modified the stock rom in anyway, by flashing another rom, etc..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584032

we are posting instructions to apply MR update without having to flash back to stock rom first.

actually it was a software bug present in every single phone, just not many people notice that detail, the sound quality is much better, the bug seriously effected every phone out there though, now its fixed, mono doesnt have depth to the music, as stereo does

How do we know if DST issue is fixed?
