My handcent icon came back. It still calls it com.blahblah.handcent.blahblah.whatever but the icon had disappeared before & now it looks like the handcent icon again. And I agree, it seems a little faster somehow.

Looks like this one didn't touch the memory bleed yet though, my system memory is still lower than it should be for what I have installed. So I guess I can't start using bluetooth yet.

Hmm, restarted, Sense UI came up, checked a couple apps, applications are named right in Programs and stuff. and then Force Close on Sense UI. Sense UI comes back up and no icons on any of the 7 screens. So I rebooted.

Everything back after reboot.

Weird.

Im not understanding why people are complaining about awake time, It is the amount of time you are using your phone vs the amount of time is asleep.

If you have your phone on alot your awake time will be higher.
Test it by cutting your phone off and back on, go directly to settings and the awake time will read 100%, now while viewing the same screen, cut your phone screen off for 1 second and the awake time will change to 99%. Even if the data was reading 100% all the time for some people the phone is still sleep unless you have proof it is not asleep during this time. It could have just been a read error and the phone is probaly still asleep, but for those people who want low awake times, stop using your phone so much lol

I would say a full battery only offering 10 hours of standby time and 100% awake time would be fairly enticing evidence (or closer to 8 hours with only mild usage).

Update installed smoothly and quickly - reboot took a little while, however.

One upgrade I just noticed: there are in-call settings for mute and speakerphone (aka they are available on the screen). These did not exist on the screen before. You would have to dial down into a menu.

Additionally, my phone's PRI is still 1.68 (not 1.70) and it still says Rev. 0.

Thats because you just cut your phone on and its been awake since you had it on, cut the screen of for 15 minutes and see what it says.

You clearly don't get it. I can quit out of every application, then let the phone sit locked with the screen turned off for an hour, and when I come back to check the awake time it will say 99%.

Explain that.

The problem is we weren't using our phones all day and it was still at 100% wake time and the battery is drained in 4-5 hours. You should probably go read all the threads on this problem before commenting (there are many.)

Unless you were like me and just rooted the Hero but didn't flash the recovery image. My Hero is rooted in that I have root access but I didn't flash the recovery image. I just applied the update perfectly fine and I still appear to have root access. SWEET!!
