Right LED flashing orange while charging

Hey guys

I did some research on the forums on the topic and after 2 hours of being on phone with *2 and them not helping me, I finally decided that when I am charging my 6800 and the right LED flashes orange instead of being solid green(fully charged) or solid orange(currently charging), it means that it is overheating and no longer charging the battery. I didn't see this confirmed anywhere but I was hoping that maybe someone else had figured it out already and would like to share.

Thanks,
Charles

This has started happening to me lately. But it seems to happen only when I am talking on the phone while it charges. It doesn't do it if I just charge. I was wondering what that was...

Yes, usually mine flashes orange when it gets really hot (sitting in the sun or using Wi-fi for hours).

yea the orange light lets you know the phone is overheating while charging and its no longer allowing the device to charge the battery to prevent any damage to the phone, battery, or you (if the battery explodes)

I thought it meant that I got a missed call or text message while it is charging. It still charges all the way for me if it's blinking.

What are you guys talking about? Over-heating? Whenever mine starts flashing orange, while charging or not, it means that I have an alert. That alert could be a text message, email, missed call, voicemail, etc. I don't recall reading anywhere in the manual about an overheating indicator on the phone. That would be a first that I've heard of for a phone.

you have to change a registry entry to get rid of the green blinking light, you can search for the instructions I don't feel like it right now

We're not talking about the orange alert flash. That's a FAST flash, like the green service light, only ORANGE.

This is a longer, more steady flash. It's definitely different. And it definitely only appears while charging.

I have never seen that flash before. I also thought you were thinking you had an alert while trying to charge.

If you want to stop the service indicator, go here and install Stroths and Codyppc's LED Killer - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ight=LEDKiller
