How will Sprint Incorporate Nextel?

As we currently know Sprint and Nextel devices cannot share minutes even though the plans are basically the same pricing, with the exception of the add-a-line on the Nextel side $20 a piece.

So let's say with the new DC phones set to launch (HPPTT or something), how will Sprint handle it?

Keep the current Power Pack plans? Or will it be something like lines 1 and 2 be the $60/550 minutes. If you add a 3rd line as Sprint it's an extra $10, or if you add a 3rd line as Nextel, it's an extra $20? Also, will that 3rd line on Nextel have free DC or free M2M?

I know Sprint is really banking on PTT for '08, but quite honestly, I don't think the market for PTT is that big for normal consumers. It's really great for businesses.

What am I trying to say? It's looking like the opposite of what that has happened since the purchase of Nextel, when the iDen customers pretty much got the shaft. Now, it looks like the Sprint customers have been getting the shaft as far as the quality of phones go.

When was the last new Samsung phone? The Samsung M510 was released during beginning of summer, or earlier along with the M300.

And Sanyo? The Katana II and Katana DLX along with the 3200 in what seems like eons ago.

We can only hope the new PTT takes off running and Sprint stops the bleeding on the Nextel side along with customer care issues, and getting out cooler phones. The Rumor and Centro were nice decisions and hopefully the M520 does wonders too.

2008 is the year for Sprint Speed (haha cheesy)
