Help with Treo Lnchr Icon

As you can see from the image below, I'm using the Treo Lnchr and icons similar to iphone. But if you look closely, GoogleMaps still has the original icon. This wasn't always the case: When I first set it up, GoogleMaps had the icon that I designated for it. I don't know when or how it changed back to the original icon, but it did.

I first thought the icon file name has been changed or erased, but it hasn't.

I also tried erasing the file and reloading, but nothing.
I also tried renaming the file (Google Maps, GoogleMap, Google maps, etc.).
I also tried renaming it to Email and Email was replaced with that icon, so the file itself is okay.

Now, I'm all out of ideas. Can anyone figure this out?
(btw, sorry for bad images... at work and no whitebox).

hotnspicy, if you go into Preferences in the Treo Launcher program there is a check box to make it your default launcher.

Well I thought it might have been spelling but I checked the app name and it is GoogleMaps so GoogleMaps.gif should work.

Me too! Mine goes back to the normal launcher also. Did you download the trial version too? Maybe that is the problem. Anyone know what may be the problem?

My Treo Launcher is a registered copy. Maybe that's the difference.

Mine is unregistered but still works with a simple check on the "make it default launcher". If you have any other launcher installed, you may need to remove it. Else, try removing the Treo Launcher and installing it again... that's what I'll probably need to do for my problem when I get around to it.

Well I tried to uninstall and reinstall but same thing. The only other launcher that I have on it is the original one. I don't know what the problem is. The box is checked.

Ok, I found that if I use the stylis and hit a button that says done it will go back to the treo launcher but if I have to press the (home) button it goes back to the original launcher. I looked to see if I could change that button to take me to treo launcher but I can't find a way to do that.

Ok, So I uninstalled it again and then went back to the site where I got it from and instead of the the prc file or the text message file (neither of those worked) I chose to download the zip file and installed from that and so far it is working great!
