$30 Blackberry data plan... questions
http://nextelonline.nextel.com/en/st...es_popup.shtml
this plan talks about people who dont want the BES services. i dont have a company BB server, but would like to consider a hosted BB server. if i get this $30 BB plan does that mean i cant use one of the hosted exchange deals? thanks, cody |

Can you do the "Dial #777" on the $30 plan like you can with the A320? I don't need any of the other blackberry options and paying an extra $15/month for something I use all of twice a month is not something I am crazy about.

Yeah... it isn't included in the A920 either but it is possible..
Is it possible with the Pearl? AKA, can you override the phone to let you teather like you can with the A920? And the $40 plan doesn't include all the 'vision' features, it is $45 for the vision+teathering ALSO, is the $30 plan available in the stores? How much is the phone in the stores w/o a 2 year contract? Last edited by NickCatal; 11-23-2007 at 11:50 AM. |

I just went in and paid full retail.. they were only going to offer me a $75 rebate because I had only had my phone for 1 year and I would rather save the $75 and get an iPhone...
But I'm not enjoying the pearl as much as I thought I would.. I think I am going to return it tomorrow and have them re-enable my A920... I like a bunch of the features, but after playing around with the iPod Touch enough I have come to the conclusion that an iPhone after the Software SDK has been released is probably going to be my best option... |

If you do a lot of text or email then trust me that you might want to reconsider the iphone

I don't agree. A BlackBerry is easily the best messaging device ever created, but the iPhone isn't bad at all. I had a hard time typing on it (actually, an iPod Touch), but my fingers are massive. Oddly enough, though, typing on my Voyager's touch screen is very easy, I really like it. So if he doesn't really need push email, then an iPhone would work just fine. He said he has played with the Touch and liked it, so I doubt he has an issue with typing on it.

It's included in the $30 BB package, I've been using it for a few days now. Not alot of choices, but not a bad deal for $30 with all the options you get with it. The only free ones I've seen so far is Fox sports, NFL network, CNN mobile, The first Disney channel, E!, and The Weather Channel. Not a good list, and everything else is pay, if you got the BB $30 package. Quote:
I think that's the old one, well according to what the BB crs at the Sprint store said. She told me that plan is old, and what you get with the new BB plan, includes whatever the Sprint power vision plan has. Last edited by DaddyD302; 11-23-2007 at 11:12 PM. |
