Question Need plan advice for gps, pam, etc

Hello all,
I'm a Sprint customer and owner of a Sanyo M1. For the past year or so I've had a 300 anytime/free incoming plan along with some $25 data plan which allowed me to do unlimited surfing on my phone and use unlimited telenav. For a few extra bucks a month I had a geocaching gps program and a few extra text messages. I recently decided that I wanted to use the Sprint phone as a modem, too and had a hell of a time getting my plan rearranged. While Sprint has always managed to help me with any issues I've had, it hasn't always been without a lot of tooth-pulling and time on hold. Yesterday the CSR I spoke with spent 30 minutes telling me that I couldn't add phone as modem onto a line, but rather needed an entirely seperate line for it and that I couldn't have a voice plan AND a PAM plan. I was later told that I can get both, but only if I'm a Sprint Business customer. After some more consultations with other CSRs (and 30 more minutes) she finally told me that yes, I can get PAM. Here's the skinny and my question:
I had: 300 anytime minute voice plan AND $25 data plan which included Telenav.
I now have 300 minutes AND $40 phone as modem instead of $25 power vision data plan. Supposedly I get all the data features of my previous $25 plan and get PAM for an extra $15/month. Unfortunately, I was told that Sprint's system doesn't allow that PAM plan along with an unlimited Telenav-only plan.
Is this true?
Until I'm told otherwise, I'll be paying $2.99 per day of use for telenav, though I'd much rather pay like $10 for unlimited use of the service.
Any help is appreciated! I sometime think that Sprint CSR's make up 80% of what they tell me.
Sorry for the long-winded explanation and thanks in advance for any help!

See if you can buy a sammy a900 or a920 off ebay and tether with that...you can disable the NAI so you won't need the PAM plan to tether.

However, remember that Sprint can see how much data you're using, even tho they can't tell that you're using it thru a computer.
