Sprint TRIED to charge me an LTE fee

Upon upgrading to the Galaxy S3, my corporate store guy tried to charge me a $10 LTE fee. This would be in addition to my $40 SERO500 plan fee and the $10 Premium data fee. I told him this would be a deal breaker and if he insisted on charging me this bogus LTE fee, I would walk and not buy the new phone. I was in no way going to lose my SERO500 plan. Alas, he punched in a different code and voila, I was able to keep my SERO plan without any "LTE" fee. The lesson here is that there is NO LTE fee out there. There is no additional charge to purchase an LTE phone. Don't be fooled!

Same thing happened to me. This guy said I had to switch to the new SERO type plan and my bill would go up $20 and there was no way around it. I called BS and walked out.

can you show proof? i am pretty certain that there is no way around the $10 fee since it is hardcoded in the system...

Not the premium data fee...theyre talking about a bogus fee on top of that fee!

Which is why I will not renew with Sprint. I can only get decent 3G when either on Verizon roaming or, at 2 am in a major city. I have been paying ten bucks a month for "premium data" which reminds me of 14.4K from 1998, I sure as hell won't pay another $10 for extra premium data.
