I saw that on my latest bill as well. But the total on this multiline plan is $30 for that line for the whole month. I suppose they own me $8. Don't care. It's worth it to be rid of them. Who cares anymore, it's Sprint.

I'm gonna start this post by saying that you all are right, this is fraud.

.
OK, now I have to add that this is a Sprint Policy for cancellation in mid cycle = No prorated credit.

Customer Service reps are available to resolve your issues according to the Sprint Policies. No matter if you are right or not. If the Policy says: No, the rep says no. If the Policy says: Yes, the rep says yes.

- Customer Service reps work for Sprint.
- Sprint has policies to protect itself as company.
- Customer Service reps try to follow those policies.

Remember: Customer Service Polices do not exist, Sprint Policies do exist.
You can not blame a rep just becuase you can not get what you want.

Policies, Terms and Conditions were created to protect the companies in first place. It pisses me off that some people can't understand simple things like this.
.

Anyway, I repeat: this is fraud.

I could understand your guys frustration; even while I was ready to keep an eye / fight on it, on a similar issue, it never mattered and lost $300+ in the process.

In short, car lease was up, sold car to dealership one day before contract was up. Dealership and Chase were on agreement of sale / payment / tittle transfer, but since dealerships payment didn't arrive until 2-3 days later, it was considered I kept it for one more month, so it was deducted from the additional payoff that I received. I called for a prorated refund, nothing, they stated once the payment was one day into the next month, it was considered that I kept the car for one more month. I asked well why didn't they tell me this ahead of time, and I wouldve done a wire transfer; no response was said - bunch of bs. If it weren't for the good profit I made on it, I wouldve tried to fight it via DA / BBB / consumer protection type of offices; maybe I'll save this fight for a rainy day when I have the energy to deal with it....

None of this probably surprises anyone. Sprint/Softbank are pretty desperate for money these days.

This has been done for a long time, and all the carriers do it. Read your contracts next time, or heck, read the forum. It's been discussed many times before.

This is why you never port out in the middle of a cycle...always do it a couple days before the end of the cycle.

So they prorate when you join mid cycle but they don't prorate when you leave mid cycle?

Who cares. If they prorate and charge for the month ahead they should refund you that amount automatically.

Anything else is theft on my opinion

I guess no one knows what post paid means. You don't get charged until after you receive service, the opposite of prepaid like Boost and Virgin. Which means after you cancel service and paid 1 bill, you still have another coming. Sprint customers are post paid.

I am guessing I am one of the lucky ones then.

When I ported out all I paid was the ETF fees, and my final bill had no extra month charges either.

when you ported out, you should have been due some credit for not using the full month

Yes. It's standard policy.

I don't agree with it, but it's not like Sprint is pulling a fast one. They clearly state it in their contract. Don't blame Sprint (or any carrier, for that matter) for a customer's inability to read the contract.

Nope, nada, nothing.

Just paid the ETF (divorce) fees and moved on.

Well well well. I was charged $69.99 - my discount + a prem data fee and I didnt have service one day in the cycle....sneaky and they almost got away with it....Thanks lgmayka

I called and got my acct adjusted and now I am due a refund....of $68 bucks.
You said your cycle began 9/6 and you ported 9/6. So you would have had to port 9/5 to not be in the new cycle?

I am just trying to follow along, not questioning what you did.
