Customized Nextel Wav Ringers

In order to make Ringers for your Nextel phone.
you need the following.

1 usb data cable
the sounds or sound wav you want.
a file encoder program (i use nero then file encoding)
and Myjal/Webjal your choice..

Getting started!
when you find the PCM wav file you want you must convert the file to the proper specs in order for it to be used as your nextel rigntone.

the current specs for the ringers MUST BE AS FOLLOWS OR THEY WILL NOT WORK!

8000khz
8 bits
Mono
PCM Wav
if you are using nero..all you do is convert the current wav to what the SPECS are supposed to be.

then when you are done. saving and all that mess.
you are now ready for the upload process

both webjal and myjal work the same.

WEBjal = you must be online to use.
MYjal = you can offline and still use.

both have the same interface pretty much.
so with that being said.

open the program of choice! then go to prefeneces or options and click the connect using usb or data cable box! must do that in order for it to connect!

connect the data cable to your phone. then hit the connect to phone button from the programs to left main menu

from there you click on the RINGTONE Option

you click ADD select the proper file. then you hit upload!
when you are done you will recieve a message that it is ok or done!

now if you get this ERROR!! and READ CAREFULLY cause alot of people still do not understand

"A general communication error has occured while communicatiing to the phone. Please verify the connection to the computer,phone,and phone and cable as well as your preference settings. In Addition you may try setting the phones BAUD rate to 19200."

This error message is by design. What this error message indicates is the file being
uploaded is not correctly formatted. Discontinue using the file is recommended.
so if you get that error.. that means you NEEED to redo your ringtones to the proper wav settings in order for it to work!
