List of A900 compatible games?

I did a search and only found threads where people were upset that old games (previously bought) could no longer be downloaded for the A900. I was wondering if there is (or we could make by posting) a list of games that people have found to work on the A900. I also realize that this could be in the Multimedia Mayhem section, but since it only pertains to the A900 (and it's limited game ability) I posted it here.

I had the old version of Tetris on my phone, and on the A900 when I redownloaded it, I got the new version. I wasn't able to redownload Solitare, but I bought and downloaded Solitare Deluxe (it's ok). I also bought and downloaded Military Madness, but I'm not in love with it. I tried to buy Might & Magic and Doom, but they would not download and I got a credit for those. So here is my list:

the old version of Ms. Pac-Mac that i had on the 700 will not work on the 900...and what kills me is that is was a never-expiring licence, i believe it was 5 bucks and it was mine for good. the version they want for the 900 is 2.99 a month! bastards!

I was able to redownload Tetris and Bejeweled. But my other games wouldn't work.

Xmen, MS Pacman, Driver3, Dracula, MotoCross, Splinter Cell, Call of Duty, and Super Putt Classic.


I'm not sure why Might and Magic didn't work for you, I just d/led that the other day and it works perfect and actually looks pretty amazing for a phone game.


I wish I could download that arkanoid clone game that came on the phone but I refuse to pay a monthly fee to play a cell phone game.

And much like Ics said, I'm pissed also I had a copy of MS-Pacman that never expired which won't work on my A900 and the new one they want a monthly fee for.

I downloaded Mahjongg and Bejeweled as well. Mahjongg works great, but I've found Bejeweled to be SUPER easy. It's so ridiculously easy that it's not even fun to play. For instance, I was able to get a score of over 30,000 points in less than 15 minutes of play because the game just keeps getting matches, cascades, and bonuses on its own with very little input from me.

It leads me to think there's some kind of bug because I've had Bejeweled on almost every phone I've owned and it's never been this easy. I emailed Jamdat about it a couple days ago but I haven't heard anything back.

'Power-cycling' just means turning off and then back on your phone. Usually with Samsungs if you have a issue, this sometimes fixes it. It's like rebooting your computer.

You know, I too thought about calling in and asking for a credit on the 10 or so old games I had and can no longer use. Hmmmmm. Then again I have a negative $500+ balance already...

Does anyone else get an error 901 when trying to download games? I'm either getting that error or just a blank screen. This happens when going through my content manager or from the link that sprint sends you by text message to download it.

I eventually got bejewled to download. It is VERY easy. It also locks up the phone now and then where I have to pull the battery to reset it.

I paid $350 for my phone with credit card (shows up as credit), then got my $150 rebate applied instantly (another credit), and then had a credit for a couple games that wouldn't work. I'm sure the -$350 will come off though.

What error message are you getting when trying to d/l tetris or bejeweled?

Whether or not it will work is dependent on what phone you had purchased that game for in the past. Some of them just don't carry over to your other phones and you'll have to re-purchase them if you want them on your 900. Just because Tetris or Bejeweled works for someone else doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you.

It's hit or miss.

I have a few that say that are not compatible, but with Tetris and Bejeweled it is different. It lets me select download and then I get something that says Download Failed. Also, it says "The issue has been reported. Please try again later. 906". Any idea if this is a compatibility issue? Thanks for everyone's help.

I tried Doom RPG, but it wasn't officially for the A900. I got it through someone's personal WAP page. The game itself works, but there's no sound (even if you tell it to enable sound).

Maybe that's fixed in the offical version.

I emailed customer service because i had bought about 15 games that I could no longer use. Since I've been a longtime customer (5 years), they told me to pick 5 games and they'd credit them back to me on my next bill.

keep an eye on the ********** forums. my a900 games pack 1.0 will be out soon... and as it looks now... the pack will include atleast 200 working FULL SCREEN games.

its rather tedious testing hundreds of games... but i should be done by the end of the week.

as of now.. i have a .9 version of my games/apps pack on ********** which includes a good # of games and some really decent apps. that should hold everyone over till this 1.0 update.

If you didnt pay to get the game.. 99.9% of the time you wont see any type of charge... theres some DRM stuff inthe jad files when you purchase a game but usually people remove that... and even if they didn't... I think the game would probably just expire.

Worse case senerio is you get billed and get Sprint to credit you since there's no records of you buying the game initially from them. That should never happen tho.

multiplayer?! ive never heard of such a thing... im very interested.

I'd like to know what the BEST looking game is. Anyone?!?! I cant seem to find a game that looks decent. I just have one game that looks (and plays) like tetris.
Chronicles of Narnia 3D(theres a 3D and non-3D version) looks pretty good...King Kong.. Ducati 3D Extreme looks wonderful. I remember thinking to myself "wow" when first playing. Any of the 3D games look good if youre into the polygon stuff... out of all 300+ games i have for my A900.. the games with the best gfx dont have the best gameplay. I love the simple, "pick up and play" type games like Q*bert, Racer-X, Mr. Driller etc.

The newer games seem to all be good looking and just keep on getting better. The A900 hasnt really seen any 'a900 specific' games yet.. most are ported over from the 5600/A800 which have lower CPU power than the a900/a940(a940 did VERY well in 3D benchmarking.. compared to similar phones).

man, the Sonic the Hedgehog game runs beautifully on the a900. Probably the fastest running game next to "Medival Combat" (fighting game that is fast and nice looking, but not full screen ! :( )

well it fully fits the screen.. but its not displayed fully :( but its better than just a corner filled like the other 940 games ;)

it sucks cuz there still arent many 240x320 res phones... so there arent as many options for games... but they will come in time. Right now.. we can steal games from the 5600/A800 ppl and also all the sony ericsson S700/W900 ppl :) I have a GREAT source for the SE games... altho.. those are the games which have no sound.. since theyre not made for Sprint phones. I also have an amazing source for 5600/A800 games as well.. so we wont be missing many games. Only thing left to do is wait for more 240x320 phonse to come out and steal their games ;)

I was searching on Google for the same thing (A900 J2ME Games) and found a guy that had a zip file of 200 games. I downloaded it and sure enough it worked! Now mind you I have NOT tried all 200 games, but I have tried about 30 so far and they all work great (Side Note: They do NOT work on the A920 phone). A LOT of the games are NEW and YES, the download was free and I did NOT have to subscribe to anything but obviously is NOT legal since I paid NOTHING and they are games I have seen on Sprint's site.

Since it is against this sites rules to offer where I found this gamepack for the A900, I will at least post his "READ ME" file here:

All games are confirmed working with the Samsung A900 and only for the A900.

I found the site with the link to download "games pack 1.0" but the link does not work. Do you know if it will be available for download again through RapidShare?, or is it down for good. I had about 150 games, but when I upgraded my computer I lost them along with alot of other programs. I would really like to get these games again. Thanks.
